Last night, I tapped out the first part of my short story ‘Don’t Touch Me’ and sent the first-draft of that opener to a friend for a beta read – just some feedback to let me know if I’m going in the right direction. I typically do this until an entire story is finished, but I’ve been editing Sonata 9 and creatively splintered at the moment, so I needed some reader interaction, early.
