I got struck with a bout of insomnia on Wednesday. I was awake from 12:30 AM until 10 PM, got up again at 3 AM with Swiss-cheese brain, and didn’t fall asleep until around 9 PM. This morning is no exception; up at 3.
Creatively, the last two days are a wash. The sad thing is that I know why Wednesday and Thursday nights are so bad for me. On Thursdays and Fridays, I had to be on set from 5 AM to 5 PM on location to note any directorial or talent changes. It’s going to be some time before I can get that schedule out of my system – so in the future, no writing will occur on Thursday and Friday.
I may have to postpone this Monday’s installment of Sonata 9 – but I’m going to bust my ass with edits this weekend and try to make it happen. The chapter does a 180 from last week as Andrej wonders why he’s not angry that Nikola is fucking around. He hasn’t allowed the man any sexual access to him, so that’s a big part of why he’s not cutting Niko off entirely. The irksome feelings come from who Nikola is fucking around with; it’s puzzling and hatches out yet another person Andrej thought he could befriend and trust.
Sitting in the kitchen on a laptop tapping out this post must end. I will flesh out some vile thoughts and add them to Majstrov.
